Maths Knowledge/Strategy Reflection

Maths Knowledge/Strategy Reflection

What was the strategy/knowledge that you were learning?
The strategy/knowledge I used was place value adding.

How well did you use the strategy/knowledge? Give an example
I used the strategy okay because I made a mistake in the decimal places by going into
thousandths instead of adding a one to the whole number.

What challenges/ mistakes helped you with this new strategy/knowledge?
The challenge/mistake I made was when I thought the question was 180+ 50 when it was
actually 180+ 30.

This helped me because I learned that I had to look at the question
and make sure I don't make a silly mistake again.

Positive feedback would look like this.Next time I think you could tell me what it was like on activity's.

Why is it important to follow these steps?
It is important to follow these steps because the blogger will know what they need to work on.

Do I have to do both? No, I must choose between asking a question or giving the blogger a positive
suggestion.

Sharp Reading - Using "I think that means"

When using the “I think that means” strategy, what do you have to do? Give two answers.
You have to put the sentence into your own words. Then you need to convince your readers you know what the sentence means.

Write an “ITTM” for the following sentences:

It was a bright summer's morning and Lou had just finished milking the cow.
I think that means….The sun was glistening at this early time of the day while Lou was getting a creamy
liquid form the cows udder.
Lou stood in the middle of the room with a huge smile on her face.

I think that means….Lou was standing in the center of a space in the house with a grin from ear to ear.
